É muito comum ouvir pais afirmando que fariam qualquer coisa pelos seus filhos e aqui não estamos duvidando do amor de pai, mas apenas convidando você a uma breve reflexão.

Você ama os seus filhos o suficiente para vencer a preguiça e se empenhar em uma atividade física regular com disciplina? O seu amor por eles é tão grande a ponto de você abandonar velhos vícios e comportamentos inapropriados e destrutivos? Você faria qualquer coisa por eles, inclusive dar o exemplo através da prática constante de hábitos saudáveis?

Não cuidar de você mesmo é uma forma de ser negligente com sua família, pois se sua saúde (física e mental) estiver em frangalhos, seus filhos não poderão contar com você quando mais precisarem, sem contar no pessimo exemplo que você está transmitindo a eles.

Nunca se esqueça que o amor não reside nas palavras.

It is very common to hear parents say they would do anything for their children, and here we are not doubting a father's love, but simply inviting you to a brief reflection.

Do you love your children enough to overcome laziness and commit to regular physical activity with discipline? Is your love for them so great that you would abandon old vices and inappropriate, destructive behaviors? Would you do anything for them, including setting an example through the consistent practice of healthy habits?

Neglecting to take care of yourself is a way of being negligent towards your family, as if your health (both physical and mental) is in shambles, your children won’t be able to rely on you when they need you the most, not to mention the poor example you are setting for them.
