Hรก silรชncio, hรก incerteza… mas hรก tambรฉm algo maior a nascer no meio da dor.

E surge uma reflexรฃo legรญtima e humana:

A democracia รฉ sagrada.

Portugal nรฃo รฉ apenas um calendรกrio eleitoral.
Portugal รฉ gente. ร‰ coraรงรฃo. ร‰ comunidade.

O POVO UNIDO JAMAIS SERร VENCIDO.

Portugal is going through days of deep trial.
Streets have turned into rivers, homes have lost their roofs, families are without electricity, without water, without a safe place to rest.

There is silence. There is uncertainty.
Yet something greater is rising in the midst of the pain.

An invisible cord of unity is forming.
People travelling as they can.
Hands carrying blankets, food, shelter.
Hearts opening without asking who belongs to whom.

When the waters rise, we do not ask who someone votes for.
We ask: “Are you okay? What do you need?”

And that reveals the true soul of a nation.

Elections approach this Sunday.
And a sincere reflection arises:

Is this the most compassionate moment?
How can someone without a roof, electricity, or water go out to vote?
And how can those who are safe ignore the call to help those in need?

“Stay home because the storm is coming.”
Yet also: “Go out and vote, even with districts in calamity, blocked roads, fragile communities.”

This is not criticism. It is reflection.

Democracy is sacred.
But compassion is sacred too.

Perhaps in moments like this, the greatest democratic act is to protect human life first.

Portugal is not just an electoral calendar.
Portugal is people. It is heart. It is community.

THE PEOPLE UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED.

If this resonates in your heart, share it so this reflection may reach further and touch other consciences.
